i have an application where i may need a hand-held HMI for use in a spray booth. everything inside the spray booth must be either classified for Div. I Class I, Group C and D, or be instrinsically safe. the HMI will not be in the booth during hazardous operations but rather will be used either before or after when the evironment is safe however all communications must be through intrinsically safe barriers. i'm looking for an HMI that can plug into a jack and communicate with a host or supervisory PLC thru instrinsic safe barriers during non-hazardous operations.
