Power Panel Software use with XP or Vista 11 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
We are trying to download from a broken unit and upload to a new replacement unit.

Panel#'s 100G-UT06M2RE, Cable# CBL-UTICW-009, Software Version V5.4-G

I see in the software manual that Older versions of windows are supported(95/98/NT/2000) but no mention of XP or Vista. As luck would have it the laptops that I have available are XP and Vista.

The sotware appears to be functioning correctly however any attempt to communicate with either panel is giving me various communication errors ...including CheckSum errors.

I have tried running the software in varuious compatibility modes for Vista...still with no luck communicating.

Is it possible to work with either of these windows platforms ??

Greetings Howell,

The Power Panel software works fine in XP, I haven't used Vista as yet with the software but i believe it also works fine.

You will need to get to the setup page within the Power Panel. If the setup pages does not come on when you restart then this feature is disabled, you need to check the SW1 dip switch on the back of the unit and to set it back to 1 position for the setup and run modes to appear.

Then check the computer Interface and match the baud rate and stop bits etc with your XP computer settings. The XP defaults at 9600 but the Power Panel could be setup for 38.4. Hope this helps.

Cheers
